TabTrade Review - The Good and the Catch
TabTrade — What It Is
TabTrade launched in March 2026. Trading platform registered in Saint Lucia, under Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection is relevant. It says the leadership is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. It is preferable to a founder with no industry background.
They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. The typical new launch leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.
What you can trade: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, equities, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For something this new, that coverage is broad.
Platforms
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both platforms from a single account. A lot of brokers pick one platform. Having both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.
MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you have traded on MetaTrader before, it is familiar territory.
cTrader is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for bots but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is apparently on the roadmap. That would make the platform set when it lands.
What You Pay
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. Zero deposit requirement. Works for beginners.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade has no minimum.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, custom pricing. Not something the average person. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.
Infrastructure
The speed is the thing TabTrade actually does something different. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers quote 100ms to 300ms.
Does it matter? If you scalp, yes. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. The point is the setup is serious. That says something about priorities.
Combine that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and what you get makes sense. Few brokers in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
Safety
This is the detail that requires honesty. TabTrade is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The execution setup is expensive. Dodgy operations do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. None of this make it safe. But be part of your decision.
The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether this deal works is your call.
